Grand Prize at the Kendal Mountain Film Festival

Episode 3 of the First Ascent Series, "Alone on the Wall", which features Alex Honnold's daring big wall free solos, has just been awarded the Grand Prize at the Kendal Mountain Film Festival. We also picked up Best Climbing Film.

FIRST ASCENT: The Series is a groundbreaking new television series that explores the wild feats and extraordinary lives of the men and women on the cutting edge of adventure.

Co-produced with National Geographic International, the six-part FIRST ASCENT series will be released on the National Geographic International channels worldwide in January 2010. We are still working on the U.S. and U.K. television release details.

The FIRST ASCENT Box Set, available on DVD and digital download, will be released in September 2010.
